Qualification:
Tug Master Gr. I (A):
(i) Matriculation or its equivalent; Possession of First Class Master Certificate under
(ii)Master of a Steam Vessel having engine of any nominal Horse Power,
(or)
of a Motor vessel having engines of any Break Horse Power, issued by the Mercantile Marine Department under Major Ports Harbour Crafts Rules.
(iii) Three years experience in handling vessels with above capacity;
(iv) Knowledge of Swimming.
(v) Should pass the trade test prescribed and conducted by the Port.
Driver Gr. II:
(i)Matriculation or its equivalent; Possession of Engine Driver certificate granted under Inland Steam Vessels Act, 1917 (1 of 1917);
(OR)
(ii) Should be in possession of a Certificate of Competency as Engine Driver of a Motor Vessel having engines of less than 226 BHP issued by the Mercantile Marine Department under Major Port Harbour Craft Rules.
(iii) Knowledge of Swimming.
(iv)Should pass the trade test prescribed and conducted by the Port.
Driver Gr I (A):
(i)Matriculation or its equivalent; Should be in possession of First Class Driver Certificate issued under Major Port Harbour Craft Rules/ I.V. Act, 1917;
(OR)
(ii)Should be in possession of Certificate of Competency as Engine Driver of a Motor Vessel having engines of less than 565 BHP issued by the Mercantile Marine Department under Major Port Harbour Crafts Rules;
(iii)Three years service as engine Driver in handling vessels with above capacity.
(iv) Knowledge of Swimming.
(v) Should pass the trade.
Assistant Director (Research):
(i) Knowledge of computer operations.
(ii) Post Graduate Degree / Diploma in Economics or Statistics or Mathematics
( or )
Operational Research and allied subjects from a recognized University / Institution.
(iii) Two years executive experience in collection, compilations and interpretation of data or in conducting filed surveys, investigation etc.,
Age Limit: Candidates Age should not exceed 30 Years. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules
Selection Procedure: Skilled Test/Trade Test Interview
